It is a long Saturday but at the end of the day the only thing that you the student needs to do is get fingerprints and passport photos and submit the packet that TXDPS provide you to the state and generally within 45-90 days you will receive your Concealed Handgun License. If you have filled out your information on the TXDPS website and received your pre-filled out packet bring it to class, otherwise contact me when it comes in and I’ll review it with you. Please bring Ear & Eye Protection. Please bring your handgun (.32 Cal Minimum no Maximum) and 100 rounds of ammunition, 50 are required for qualification the extra 50 are for those that fail to qualify the first time. Final Exam:
Before taking the final exam, we will go over covered materials and answer any questions that students may have. Students must Achieve a proficiency level of 70% on the written exam in order to pass the course.

THE RANGE
The course of fire for the range is designed so that a person with little training will be able to pass. Qualification is not difficult, but does ensure that the applicant is familiar enough with their handgun and how to operate it that they can hit a static target.
